re: How well would the U.S.population actually fare in an all-out war today?

We should be concerned about the West’s ability to operate as a wartime economy. We don’t have the industrial base to support a full out war. We’re seeing a glimpse of that with our support for Ukraine against Russia’s economy. Now imagine us against China. Just look at the discrepancy in ship building capacity.
