The lede is being buried on this.

US and French troops are being kicked out and Russian mercenaries/regulars are being brought in.

Eyes are on Ukraine right now, but compared to Africa, Ukraine is a meme.

Russian mercenaries are supporting regimes to “kick out evil western colonists” and, thus, exerting influence over resources.

Lots of lithium in Africa.

American taxpayers give around 8 billion dollars a year in “aid” to African countries. That 8 billion should be given to Americans instead.

Shut down the base, clear it out and level it. Stop all aid and funds to the country and any assistance of any kind. It’s their country, they can do what they want, but not on our dime.

So that answers the question of why we’re there. Sounds like we need to keep a presence there.

Them Nigers are not playing around. They do not want the United States Military on their fricking soil anymore. They should have been brought home months and months ago.

The Nigers have been begging the U.S. to leave - The U.S. is no longer wanted there but our leaders refuse to leave. It's absurd.

It's like an ex who just will not take no for an answer. These mutha frickin Nigers do not want us there anymore.

They burned a lowercase t in front of the base to let us know it’s time to leave

China’s belts and roads initiative(BRI), already owns Africa. For a decade the Chinese have been providing infrastructure to Africa

Will the Nigers have to learn how to speak Chinese in school?

They can stick their uranium where the sun don’t shine.

The U.S. imports the vast amount of our uranium from countries like Kazakhstan, China, Australia, and Canada.

You’re not alone.

Do they have them blockaded in the base?

Are they hostage?

Is it that easy to just overrun 1000 marines?
Yes, they were blockaded in the base... BUT (the headlines/reporting is a little misleading) they did that because they demanded they leave and the US did not agree to pull them.

They finally agreed to pull them about 2 days ago. State Dept. weenies were the hold up.

They weren't preventing them from leaving, i.e. hostages. They were preventing them from leaving the base(es) to conduct operations until they agreed to leave.

NOTE:
- Niger's (Chad also) chief export is Uranium
- Russia has paid them off and just like with HRC as head of St. Dept Russia has outbid us for that Uranium.
- This is likely for transfer around sanctions to Iran. India also.
- Russia obviously trades in oil... but they also use diamonds (world's largest producer) to avoid currency issues and sanctions.

Use the billions of African funding/aid
It isn't funding/aid. It's bribery. We have to bribe them (and all the other countries we "aid") so that they'll continue to use U.S. dollars and thus give it value.

These are the hoops we have to jump through because of our fiat currency.

We’ve got enough nukes to destroy the planet many times over and enough to fuel our power plants.

The biggest issue to me is Russia expanding its footprint.

On the bright side, the base probably only cost about 40mil. The other 460mil was kickbacks.

Afghanistan was nothing more than a payoff to China by the big guy. If you don't think all of our encrypted comm gear wasn't in Chinese hands 48 hours after we pulled out, I don't know what to tell you.

I personally think China rolled in to exploit the worlds largest rare earth metals that Afghanistan is sitting on. We were there for 20 years and never did a thing with it. The Chinese will soon own it
