I chuckled. During the war of northern aggression, Grant was winning some skirmishes on the western front and his commander was very concerned. he would be overshadowed.

He started sending derogatory letters to Lincoln about Grant. Keep in mind that Lee was kicking arse in Northern VA, Lincoln had already been through a couple of Generals, and no one but Grant was winning in the west.

When Grant won yet another battle his commander sent a letter to Lincoln telling him he feared "Grant was taking to the bottle again".

Lincoln replied " I reccommend was brand he is drinking and distribute to your officers, given the fact Grant is the only one winning".

Churchill may have been drunk but tomorrow he will be sober and you will still be ignorant.
