I'm an entitled millennial, haha, but work life balance is my number one in priorities. I've always heard the money is great, but if you have to work a bunch of extra hours, then your hourly rate is more on par with other jobs. From what I hear they don't pay overtime but instead give you comp time. Only problem is, I hear you never have an opportunity to use it.

I don’t know who you are talking to..if you are hired as an operator-you make overtime. You will be a represented employee and will make the agreed upon wage with the labor contract. As to your “life work balance”-throw that out the window. You agree to work at the double cross-your life will be what they dictate. The only guaranteed time off is scheduled vacation- and I’ve seen that canceled due to people calling in. You want that XOM dollar-you have to pay that price.
