I see my Mom’s eyes when I look in the mirror. She has been gone for 20 years so it’s kind of disconcerting and heart warming at the same time. On the other hand I talk very much like my Dad. Always funny when I meet his friends I have never met and I say something. They are like you are definitely your father’s son.

In looks or actions?? Because every time I bitch at the kids about scaring the wood floors up I kick my own arse just a bit.

I didn't look much like my dad at 35, which was the age he died, so I have no Idea how he would have aged after that if he'd lived longer.

The only thing we had in common was he and I were both thin and wiry with fairly dark complexions. I had a full head of thick hair and he had a hairline like George Costanza from "Seinfeld".

Now at age 71, I don't look like any of my relatives that lived to be that age from what I can see.

Everyone who has ever seen me and my dad together have no doubt I am his kid. Me and him were on a train in France next to a drunk guy and he just started saying “papa” and circling his face with his hand. That’s how much we look alike. Act the same and generally have the same world views too.

My Dad's family had a strong dose of Cherokee that was obvious in their faces and builds. But I look like a carbon copy of my Mom's Irish brothers. I was bigger than my Dad when I was 10.

I don't know. I was adopted from the anonymous union of two teenagers in the Shreveport area.

I look exactly like my Dad. Personality and such, probably a mix of both parents.

Yesterday I drove 2 1/2hrs down to Duson to get a couple of sacks of crawfish to have a crawfish boil that mother absolutely loves once a year.

On the way down there I visited this exact topic and how I have slowly became both of my parents.

Its hilarious yet touching at the sametime.

They wont be around forever so I try to love them as they get older the way loved me growing up. I hope my kids and grandkids do the same for me.

Onions are being cut somewhere close by. Bastads.

I look exactly like my dad except I’m 3 inches taller. Personality wise I’m a mix of my parents. My parents came up to visit my first semester at LSU. My roommate in Kirby Smith said after they left I know exactly what your going to look like when you’re old.
