The gymnasts at LSU are so likeable. The three at the post-game press conference were so smart and likeable. It is a team that every LSU fan should want to support.

I'm glad Jay Clark already had a run with his alma mater and won't be returning to Georgia.

Don't count on it UGA fans are already talking online about wanting Jay back.

Our administration needs to step up to keep him

I don’t see Jay leaving. Especially after how bad Georgia treated him.

He is well taken care of at LSU financially and will get a nice raise. LSU has the best gymnastics facilities in the WORLD. Fan base support is 2nd to none with crowds well over 10K every home meet. The talent on the way the next couple years is as good as any in LSUs history.

There’s just no way I see him leaving all that to start over to a program that has been dead for a while, screwed him over previously, and lacking all those others area I mentioned

Now the Griffiths, that’s a legit possibility of them leaving if approached but it entirely depends if they want to be HCs right now. They have a very young family and may be comfortable with where they are at in their life right now.

You could make a pretty easy case LSU is the top job in the country besides the politics of subjective judging. Clark is from mandeville too I believe he’s probably happy being home at this point of his career.

According to his bio, Clark is from Georgia. His wife is from Mandeville. If he moved back to Georgia, I’m sure she would miss him…

LSU at worst in modern day is a top 2 job at worst given the facilities, fan support and resources.

Its as good as any job in the country.

Since she grabbed the beam wouldn’t it be the same as a fall. The same score as if she would have just got off and got back on is what I’m trying to say?

So LSU's top flight gymnastic training facilities doesn't count for much? He's already compensated well. Not sure how much Georgia is willing to throw at him for a minor sport.

I'd be shocked if any of them leave, especially Jay.

I’m certainly no expert, but I understand that it was considered a fall. But I’ve seen some falls (such as Sav’s here) score in the 9.30 range, and some in the 8.90 range. So even with a fall, there were tenths to fight for. Sav fought hard to not come off the beam.

I know we have an incredible Freshman class coming in, along with who we have returning, but with GA firing their coach, and the wonderful treatment that Lily Smith received rotating with our team during the Semis, might there be any way she transfers here? I don't know how many roster spots/scholarships we'd have available, if any.

He's already been there and they fired him. He just won a national title here at LSU.

There is a better chance of UGA hiring Bill Belicheck to coach their gymnastics team than Jay going back.

Just getting to post since I was tied up all Saturday and Sunday. Didn't get to watch until Saturday night but avoided spoilers...

LFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've said it numerous times for three years now but I've always said that this was our year. Haleigh's senior year was always going to be the year. They just weren't ready before now. We had really good teams, but never great teams.

It's kind of funny that the one gymnast I had been semi critical of this year is the person and routine it came down to in the end. Aleah on beam. She knocked it out of the park, that was so cool.

Hated it for KJ that she had a bad meet, she had been so good all year long.

Haleigh is the goat college gymnast. She might not have the most 10's but she is the goat. She is so freaking clutch and has been as good as any gymnast ever this year. So happy for her.

Kiya was huge this year too. Super happy for her for coming back and exceeding expectations after her injury. I never imagined her having the type of year she did after her injury. Hard to believe she came back better than before and was really an iron man all season, she didn't get many breaks.

I was nervous as all get out especially knowing we were behind and finishing on beam, and finishing with Aleah. But nothing compared to my wife, she about had a nervous breakdown.

Almost as good as winning the championship is Florida choking again They are legit choke artists.

Why would he want to go back to UGA for that pressure cooker and I realize it's home

He has the title now at LSU and can live off that for rest of his career
UGA fired him for not continuing the dynasty
At LSU the pressure is now off and you can strive for more titles going forward

Better chance to lose some of his assistants but the good thing is you now have a pipeline of some former LSU gymnasts that can make that jump to assistant like Gnat has done
