It’s Texas that will take their place when they’re fully blooded into the SEC

You’re wrong here Cap. With NIL and the new SEC there will never be a Bama like dynasty. UGA, Texas, LSU, Bama will bd top dogs with others close behind

I don't believe this one bit

So far Ewers and Arch Manning are mid QBs. The QBs LSU has trumps what Texas is doing. I know 99% of most media outside LSU and probably 75% of local LSU media and fans can't see it, but LSU is about to take their rightful place. LSU has never had offense, which held them back for forever. This defensive problem is going to be fixed very shortly. If anybody takes Bama's spot, it'll be UGA/LSU.

Don't get me wrong. I can see Texas becoming really good, but they haven't faced a real SEC schedule yet, and I ain't talking about that BS sweet deal the SEC commish allowed them to have their first year in. Everybody knows that was some behind the scenes crap going on with that when you compare who they play and who Oklahoma plays. It's always about getting more SEC teams in the championship race.

Cap, I love ya, but having had the misfortune of being a follower of the old SWC and then the Big 12 as a Baylor fan ( LSU is and will always be my first love, but mt Dad went to BU….) I’ve gotten the chance to observe the T Sippers for 50 years and absolutely nothing has changed to lead me to see the Shorthorns of ever being capable of the sort of dominance the BAMA displayed under Saban.

Sure, Texas is the wealthiest athletic department in college sports by a lot, but despite their massive wealth, it’s the consistent arrogance that the administration and alumni have always displayed without the hardware and championships to nearly justify the way that they operate.

Honestly, Sark got really lucky in 2023 because they beat a lack luster Alabama before their team had a chance to jell and the avoided UGA entirely. Once they trade playing Baylor, Iowa State, TCU and Kansas for a healthy diet including Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, A&M, State & Oklahoma, I just don’t see them as coming out nearly as well. They have never even been willing, as a program, to play a, week in and week out, schedule nearly as brutal as they are about to face. (These are the same snowflakes that force the Big 12 to make the horns down sign an unsportsmanlike penalty!)

Maybe I’m wrong, but I think Spurier was right when he said that Texas does seem to appreciate the shear brutality of the SEC schedule. Yeah, they’ve always played OU and a coupe of other respectable teams each year, but when your schedule requires you to play teams, in almost every conference game, that leave you more banged up in each successive game, it’s not the same.

Personally, I’m really looking for to their first Saturday Night in Death Valley!

They will buy quality recruits, but I think the days of 1 program dominating the recruiting cycle are over!

No they won't. Yall are so scared of Texas and A&M's money yet we've recruited just as good as them the last few years and look like will blow both away in 25 class
