Not sure if I would give Rami the Spiderman franchise again, look at what did with Toby SM 3 and Multiverse of Madness. Having Dr. Strange gf leave him for a black guy was eye rolling enough, but to demote him from sorcerer supreme even though he's the strongest of them all? No, Rami hayday is done.

Doctor Strange was "demoted" in Spider-Man: No Way Home, not Multiverse of Madness - the logic being that Wong took over during the 5 years that Strange was missing. They simply didn't yank Wong out of the job when Strange returned.
Regarding her "leaving him", his Chrstine survived the snap. She's marrying the man she met and began a relationship with while Strange was gone during that same stretch.
The 5 year snap makes it all weird, as some people (Wong and Palmer) continued with their lives, but from Strange's perspective he was gone for a day (kidnapped by Ebony Maw, crash lands on Titan, fights Thanos, gets snapped, reappears on Titan, teleports to Earth for the big fight - all, from Strange's perspective, in the same afternoon).
