No Western nation is in the top twenty.

In South Asia specifically, the AQLI believes residents could be losing up to 5 years off their lives. The region has been a global hotspot of air pollution for years, home to 37 of the 40 most polluted cities in the world.

Of this list, I've only been to China. Seeing it only ranks 19th is kinda scary. Smog is pretty rough there in even medium sized cities.

Yet, the USA is supposed to pay punitive damages to these shithole countries for our bad pollution.

I've been to some of these places....India for sure, UAE and rest of GCC no.
Ghana yes. Pretty much all of West Africa SE Asia is nasty. Russia is going to have big problems with their accumulated industrial waste as will most of former USSR

And absolutely zero chance you get any of them to change their ways, unless you come up with a new clean energy source that is cost effective and sustainable. I'm not sure why we are so hyper focused on cutting emissions here in the U.S. when our focus should be figuring out a better way to do renewable energy, because at some point we will run out of resources.

I went to Egypt in 2010 and I remember seeing piles of garbage on the side of the street 10 feet high and the Nile was full of garbage.

I saw some pics of India in a thread a month or two ago, and it was pretty shocking the amount of filth (and dead bodies) just lying around everywhere. It was disgusting.

But keep driving that shitty electric car and using shitty inefficient appliances. “Fighting climate change” is a farce when the people slapping regulations on western countries allow China, India, et al to pump out whatever they want.

List checks out of biggest shite holes where it's hard to breathe. I have to go back to India soon and i'm dreading it. I'm already stocking up on sudafed since the meth heads made them limit how much they can sell. I'll need a months worth to last a week.

And that's just air pollution, nevermind the rivers of garbage flowing through some of those countries.
