I have Gmail with a custom domain (bonus: they’ll let you have like 25 aliases per inbox. So I pay for two inboxes but use 20 names (nurse1@example, nurse2@example….).
Options will have perks/minuses based on the number of inboxes, aliases you want.
I also own a synology box but haven’t gone through the hassle of self hosting because I’m a wimp, and for my use hosting is cheap.

Is the only way to do that with Google Workspace? Currently I have companyname@gmail.com but would like to have first&lastname@companyname.com.
