Played in a band with gigs at Jazz Fest, S X SW and showcases in New York. Had gigs on Sixth Street in Austin at the Steam Boat where SRV was discovered.

Did standup for a year. Much harder than playing music.

Fished on the BASS circuit as a co-angler. Wanted to do this for a living, then found out how difficult it is.

Worked on electronics that are now in space. Figure that's probably a relatively small amount of people compared to the mass majority.

I’ve been to both ends of the Mississippi River. The source in Minnesota at lake itasca and the mouth way down at the toe of the boot.

I hung out with Michael B Jordan, Miles Teller, Reg E Cathey, and a couple others during a lightning delay while they were filming a movie in my office years ago. They were very down to earth people except for Miles Teller, he was an absolute arse the entire time.

I’ve been part of a Blue Man Group performance.

Sure there are others but I can’t think right now.

Edited to add:
Reg E Cathey was the BBQ guy in House of Cards. I had just started watching the show on Netflix about a month or so before meeting him and I let him know how much of a fan of the show I was. He thanked me and then goes, “oh, what did you think of “the death”? I said I didn’t know what he was talking about. He said, “yea you know, when Kate’s character dies”. I hadn’t made it to that part of the show yet and was devastated .

I reupholstered a conversion van back in 82, had mad yo-yo and foosball skills, realized I'd peaked and went underground for 40 years. It's relaxing here.

Belong to a pretty exclusive club...I have held forth on matters of great import at Hyde Park Corner and picked guitar in Luckenbach...

I have crossed the Gulf Stream, alone, more times than I can count. Have done it at night many times. Lots of people do it with other people on the boat but single handed is rarer...and dumber.

I have caught actual wild German brown trout...in Germany.

I have hunted ducks in Poland, The Czech Republic, France, Italy, Germany and The Netherlands. Again, lots of people in each have done so but not many from outside...especially Germany. Until recently Germany did not allow non-residents to hunt ANYTHING.

Been at events with four sitting/former presidents (Carter & Reagan at the dedication of the Carter Center; H.W. Bush at an event celebrating Atlanta getting the '96 Olympics; G.W. Bush at a campaign stop in Auburn).

Visited 35 states before ever flying on an airplane.

Got an autograph from an active NFL head coach at a NASCAR race (Jerry Glanville in Richard Petty's pit prior to the 1992 spring Atlanta race).

Had 2 phone calls with Justice Anthony Scalia one month after the Bush/Gore "hanging chad" election hearing. Oh, 1 from his cell phone & the other on his home phone. His wife answered "hey Tony its for you".
