The 2010 baseball team went 14-16 in conference after the 2009 championship.

Apparently, it’s hard to be good the following year.

Not always. South Carolina went back to back then were runner ups the 3rd year. Vanderbilt won a natty then were runner ups the next year. There are plenty of teams that have won a national championship and not had a massive drop off the next year.

This is such a stupid fricking excuse. It’s college baseball. All the great players are gone after 3 years. You have a total roster turnover every 3-4 years. You’re going to have to replace a bunch of players every year.

The real problem is the absolute shite show that has been high school recruiting and development over the last 3 years.

In six years at Arizona Jay Johnson missed the postseason twice and was on his way to third if not for Covid. Quit acting like this guy is skip bertman.
