The best Tarantino movies in this order are....

Reservoir Dogs
Kill Bill I
Kill Bill II
Pulp Fiction

Everything else is overrated bullshite, especially Basterds. Oh and his worst movie, far and away is Jackie Brown.

Animal House sucked & John Belushi is very overrated, as was the entire "Golden Age" cast of SNL. The women weren't funny, Garrett Morris was the black guy, Chevy Chase was a one trick pony & Dan Ayckroyd had no personality.

Chase & Ayckroyd are a curious yin/yang pair. It's as if a great comedian was split in two, like that Jeckyll/Hyde episode of Star Trek.

This is not a terrible take and you're right, none of the women were funny.

The Coen Brothers have only made one truly great film - Miller's Crossing.

That would be Raising Arizona

Naw, he killed it in Forrest Gump. Then again, the role was very natural for him.

No love for Apollo 13 either? Or cast away? Or a league of their own? Or the green mile? Or SPR? Or catch me if you can?

If you're calling him a mediocre actor, then you're saying he was mediocre and he made mediocre movies with his performances.

Terrible take. He has a forte as an actor like EVERY single actor. He plays his forte to very well. This is equivalent to calling someone like Clint Eastwood a mediocre actor because he played largely the same type of character for his career.

Rant over, but terrible take.

Murder, She Wrote’s never showing Sheriff Metger’s wife Adele can, on occasion, become slightly overplayed.

Big Bang Theory was a decent show and the finale was well done.

I’ll one up you and say Young Shelbert is a good show and better than its predecessor.

Disclaimer: I’m a sucker for wholesome sitcoms with a message at the end. Theme songs do it for me too. My wife, who’s 10 years younger and didn’t grow up in the 80s, thinks I’m crazy.

Walton Goggins is funnier than Danny McBride. And I love McBride but Goggins is on another level imo

I don't think Raising Arizona was all that great.

I know this is a hot take thread and we shouldn’t take it too seriously, but this take makes me irrationally mad.

And I’m the guy who said Young Sheldon was good!

That was almost shockingly bad to me. I thought the team of Scorcese and DiCaprio could do no wrong but damn that was a pointless slog to get through. I don't know know if this is a hot take or not but De Niro needs to retire and go away. Three of his more recent performances in The Irishman, Joker, and Flowers were just embarrassing

Clint Eastwood is a mediocre actor (at best). Clint himself might agree with that.

Now if you called him a mediocre director, he might get pissed.

Alright well that's just, like your opinion man. You ignored the other movies I mentioned so I'll assume that every Tom Hanks movie was ruined by his performance. I'll respectfully disagree.

Going back to the OP, I didn't give a hot take:

I think For Love Of The Game is a top 5 sports movies.

The original Star Wars is a slightly above-average science fiction action adventure. It has some good special effects for the time, like the spaceship battle scenes. But it also had some embarrassingly bad parts like the space cantina scene - many of "creatures" were obvious fake costumes that look like felt and plastic, and the music the band plays is absurd and tries way too hard to be cute...no matter how backward an alien culture, they don't like that kazoo crap. Nothing in any of the films justifies the mythology and fan worship built around the franchise.

Except the opposite of what you said. Jedis are boring. The best Star Wars since Star Wars are Rogue One, Andor, Mando S1-2, and Solo (sorta).

Everything else has been total crap.
