Scottsdale is a pretty large area and my guess is aside from golf you may be walking to bars, etc.
If its close by hit the Coach House. Hole in the wall bar that quickly becomes a little slice of heaven.
I will 2nd The Buffalo Chip but you will definitely need transportation. The sights there are incredible on a Friday night. Absolutely incredible.
Addition: Coach House is recommended for day drinking

Love the Coach House and also I highly recommend the Rusty Spur nearby, although it's very small. Both are very popular with tourists.
