I would have enjoyed seeing a manager go to the mound to pull Nolan Ryan after only 80 pitches with a perfect game on the line and six outs remaining.

Those managers wouldn’t do it because it was their call back then. Now a days the GMs run the team, even the on field decisions. Managers are just mascots now.
