Kansas’s 22 title certainly helps them bc it gave them 4 but I’ve always looked at them kind of like Michigan football.
All the wins and conference titles in the world but so few titles compared to the other blue bloods and their titles are all so far apart. No cluster of titles together like the other blue bloods.
Not hating on Kansas bc they are a blue blood but I think they are one of the lesser blue bloods which is still great.

Idk...they've had plenty of runner-ups and Final Fours scattered throughout.

Conversely, UCLA dominated the 60's and 70's, but hasn't won the NC since '95, and had a few great teams (2006 - 2008, 2021) since then.

Kansas, to me, is firmly above UCLA. UCLA reminds me more of a Michigan football than Kansas.
