The real bullshite is the 200 ticket you get if it's expired.

What I really don't know is how getting an inspection sticker isn't racist but voter ID is

In the end I think we all knew how this would turn out.

I've forgotten what it was like to have to get annual inspection stickers.

GOD bless my wonderful state of Oklahoma, where sights like this are far more common than I'd like to admit!

I say get rid of the sticker and raise the price of the ticket for driving unsuitable cars on the road. Having to buy a brand new windshield because of a little crack (that wasn't obstructing my line of vision) always annoyed me.

LSP is double dipping at this point. They found a new revenue stream with the vape tax AND they get to keep this. Must be nice.

Would be great if some of this money went to local police departments. LSP are overpaid degenerates.

And then passing tons of cars on the road with expired or no sticker. Cops only ticket those who can't accuse them of racial profiling.

Know a guy whose brother works at the DMV. He routinely has stacks of stickers for sale. Every mth. For the last 2 years at least.

So explain what this has to do with Landry?

The head of the LSP is appointed by Landry. One word from the governor to accept this bill in lieu of HB 635 signed into law 10 months ago that benefited the LSP. It TRIPLED the vape tax.

quote:

The law stipulates that money raised by the increased tax will go “to cover the cost of salary increases and related benefits for members of the state police service and for special law enforcement initiatives.”

Break tag inspection stickers are just a money grab and a road use tax imposed on Louisiana drivers.

Just add 10 bucks to the license and be done with the stickers. It isn’t even about the money for me it’s the bullshite of having to go get a sticker

It's so, so, so easy. Just add whatever LSP was getting from the stickers, to the cost of the DL or the bi-annual vehicle registration, and be done with it.

Why does this have to be hard?

What I want to know is, who's brother in law has the contract to make and sell the stickers to the state?

My mechanic buddy said this would create a nightmare to get your emissions approval.

He said no shops would want to do it and you would have to go to the state to do it.

Then keep the requirement in those few parishes.

Simply raise the cost of drivers licenses. I'm fine with that.

LA can't figure out how to deal with a problem that other states have dealt with years ago.

We don't exactly have the best and brightest in our government.
