I'm sorry, but I thought DPs were allowed in softball? Got me.

The throw home in the 6th was not Maci's fault, it bounced to her. But the one to end the game was definitely her fault.

At the end maybe but it was the decision by the HC to pull infield in..just a pathetic move…not 1 baseball coach in America would do that not even 1st grade…how anyone can downvote that shows pure ignorance

Did you actually watch? If she is back, she likely gets that runner at first. There wasn’t enough time to turn 2. Playing her back was a gamble if the ball gets through but that isn’t what happened. Verizon got the pitch she wanted. Could Petty have taken her time some and made a better throw? Yes. Was she trying for the Home to first so? Maybe but in this case Bergeron has the ball and controls the play from there. Either way, Bergeron missed the ball. She had her at the plate

Pitching lost this game…Dobson has done a terrific job this yr…5 runs and 4 run lead heading into b6 and pitching choked

Just stop. IT FREAKING DIDNT MATTER. The play at home was there and don’t try to say it was a harder play. It was not because of how fast the game is.
The ball was thrown straight to her and she missed it. It was an error and then she freaking hit a ball to third and then watched a ball down the middle of the plate and then threw a freaking ball into right field when the runner was 1/2 down the line.
