Yea that pond and woods by the cottages were absolutely loaded with wildlife besides fish.
I never saw deer but tracks were absolutely everywhere. Unfortunately would see dead deer on Burbank and Nicholson.
My god the amount of wood ducks made me envious as a duck hunter.
I’d wake up early sometimes just to watch them come in and out.
Yes most of the woods have been cleared and developed which is sad.
The fishing was awesome and easy especially if you hit it just right.
One time in the spring 2 buddies and I caught about 50 slabs in 2 hours and had a huge fish fry.
It was a special pond for sure.

The apartments were mediocre themselves but the outdoor stuff made up for it! I suck at posting pics but I have a pic of a little creole man who caught what seemed to be a 6-7 pound bass on a KVD crank bait. The biggest one I caught was about 3ish over the years.

One Saturday an older gent was fishing around noon in early spring catching white perch every other cast. I had a pole with me and I joined in and we had 50-75 before he left. Good times
