Your teacher should be giving you things to practice to help keep you on track and hold on to the things he taught. There’s no easy way to improve after just one lesson. But a few lessons plus practice between, and you should start to feel comfortable/confident in the changes. Once you trust where it’s going, you’ll see it translate to the course.
