I’m in Gulfport near the beach. We’ve had wind gusts darn near 60 mph.

That looks like a wall cloud. There might be a tornado below the tree line. There's a reason he doesn't pan all the way over.

Thats strange because all the storms are headed towards the FL panhandle now.

That's what I wondered, too, but I don't think there's any efficient passage heading west that wouldn't be effected by this long line of severe weather.

Not so fast.
One more potentially dangerous cell to get through.

Get to your safe place.

Seems this system was way worse in south Louisiana but as far as the moderate area in MS and Al it didn’t really materialize. Lots of rain and some strong wind gusts but that’s about it

A day 6 enhanced for portions of Kansas, Oklahoma, & Texas... for storms potentially happening next Monday, April 15th

That seems... concerning

Don't see enhanced in a day 6 forecast all too often

I don't think it's there yet.
Thanks for the jinx, though.

The good news for us, at least, is that a ridge will be building in over the southeast and should keep that system well north of the southeast.

The eastern extent of the Mod is primarily wind driven. The line of concern is heading into Mobile warned for 70mph+.

ETA: It was also a tough forecast because there wasn't a whole lot of consistency with CAMs regarding whether the worst of it would be offshore or not. This was a tricky one for areas farther east.

They've been a lot more bullish on the extended Day 5+ lately, for better or worse.

Just as a storm chaser on Ryan Hall's stream gave a shout out to the trash collection crew for still working in the weather

This Southwest flight diverted to Panama City by flying through the weather. Now they have to hurry up and get out before it gets there and it's going to be a bumpy ride to MSY. Dumb to not divert to Baton Rouge or Lafayette and stay behind the system. Could have diverted to Jackson if they wanted an airport with Southwest facilities and stayed behind the system.

Yes that’s the plan they have told us. We got off the plane and sitting in the terminal now in PC. Delta shows our flight as canceled but they have not said that to us yet.

Turtle creek neighborhood in slidell seems to have had a touchdown. My parents street is pretty gnarly, rooves tore up, sheds completely gone, pine trees snapped, and others layed over.

Old Spanish Trail, Ponchartrain blvd, and Freemeaux all seem to have gotten it worse though.

They closed the airport as we was trying to land. We circled the gulf for a few before going to PC on delta. The flight you’re talking about just now got off the plane in the same terminal as us.
