The Chackbay cell has a low base and good signature on velocity. And my brother snapped a cool pic of it lol

If you are near a TV in Baton Rouge, WAFB is live broadcasting.

The tornado warned storm is going to miss BR. This one, at least. I’m sure many parishes across the area will get in on some warning action later.

If the drama queens on stormcast find out about that, they’re gonna go into full panic mode. The lady pulling a camper from Texas, a full seven hours away, will ask every fifteen minutes if she should stay another night. The lady whose husband works in Houston will ask did he should call in sick today and not go, along with finding an excuse to mention that her hubby drives to Houston for work every five minutes. About ten other posters will ask Zack Fradella to give his opinion on what neighborhoods of NOLA will get hit by the 123mph velocity found 1,000 ft high near LC. It’ll be a shitshow for five pages

You seem to get along just fine with them

I tolerate them and converse with them to be nice and cordial. Doesn’t mean I’d be friends with them in real life. Just like most of yall assholes here

My sister is pissed that school was not canceled in Calcasieu parish. Every surrounding parish canceled but not us. I’m secretly laughing even though they probably should have. Buses were running during a tornado watch.

A velocity couplet is only one piece of the puzzle of confirming tornadoes via radar. None of these cells being named have shown a debris signature.

This is a big day for the new Hammond radar. Today is the first major severe event since it went online.

Tornado watches simply mean all the ingredients are there. Doesn’t mean there are tornados present. It’s like if you’ve got an onion, celery, bell peppers, flour, oil, sausage, chicken, chicken broth, and others all put on the counter — that’s a gumbo watch. Chop it all up, get the roux going, and start simmering that shite and you’ve got yourself a gumbo warning. Next thing you know I’m knocking on your door for a bowl!
