There is nothing wrong with glancing up at an eclipse without glasses. Many even say it is healthy. You cannot damage your eyes by looking at an eclipse for 1 second. To believe so would be foolish.

I'm just going to pull my COVID mask over my eyes.

Smart man. Watch out for those confused nocturnal animals. ALL of them.

I was reading the Amazon seller forums earlier and tons of sellers bought these glasses from China and sent them to Amazon to sell FBA only to find out that Amazon will not let just anyone sell the glasses so now they are out thousands of dollars
The glasses all have to be certified which can take months so only sellers that were previously certified or started the process a long time ago can sell them.
Too much liability for Amazon to let just anyone sell the Chinese uncertified glasses and one seller said he is out $500K.

The GEOTUS proved that

Test them by looking thru them and if pitch black then they are fine. Look up at the sun in the morning and you should only be able see a small sun spot.
I do have a question though...can you look at the eclipse prior to total coverage without them? The partial coverage is a lot long then 4ish mins.

Frick Amazon. If they only had a way to filter 'American Made'

I don’t get infatuation with the eclipse.

Will layers of welding glasses be okay?
A shade 10 passive lens is about $2.50 at any local welding supply. I’ve watched the last few eclipse with one and they work fine. You do not a need shade 14 welding lens
