Which only proves that since the beginning of time, those in power have used unexplainable natural events to maintain control over the uninformed masses. Yesteryear’s eclipses are today’s climate change

That's an annular eclipse, Smeg, not a total eclipse. Sheesh! Does no one actually do science stuff anymore?

They are legit if you are in the path of totality. Otherwise really no point in even watching it

They happen about every 12 to 18 months somewhere across the world.

lucky you. there hasn't been one (Total Eclipse) in Louisiana in my lifetime.

the next one is in 2045.

yeah if you travel the world chasing them they happen a lot, but for most people it's pretty damn rare that it happens where they live.

We were visiting family in the Midwest for the last one saw it in a small town. It was really cool, but in the traffic leaving the town we saw a car Pull over and a 60 year old dude rolled out of a minivan and hurled mightily. It was hilarious

There was on in 2017. I watched it from Redmond, OR.

You know what happened?
Nothing.

Last total eclipse in the u.s for 44 years. This is the only one I'll see in my life time...much less directly over my house.

Fyi...I have no social media.

Basic supplies get bought up with a hint of ice or snow. Cheer up Nancy boy

Equinoxes and solstices. Not eclipses….

They did track eclipses and could accurately predict them, but the architecture had to do with equinoxes and solstices.

The ancient Greeks did it with the Antikythera Mechanism. I've learned a lot about it from watching Clickspring's video series on it.

All because the mainstream press and social media have hyped up this non-event.

Or because people are fascinated in a relatively rare celestial event and want to see it. Even if you’re not. But yeah evil msm did it
