Milazzo ending the game in the cleanup spot because of Jays obsession to force a shitty lefty into the middle of the lineup is so fitting for this season

It feels like we let every runner Vandy got on, got to 2nd or 3rd by some boneheaded play.

That and your best option after doing that is putting Bear at catcher because you’ve burned the rest

You have to get to the point of worrying about that. You could let Trav catch and burn the DH. The whole point is to get to the next inning. I’m a Milazzo fan. But he looks terrified when he’s batting.

You can blame the pen, but Jump gave up 5 runs in 5.1 innings. We only scored 6.

You might have a point. Was one of those runs unearned?

We might need to start looking at using an opener in games 2 and 3 of series. Our relievers are horrible when they inherit runners. Get 2-3 innings out of a “relief” guy, put your starter in and then hope Guidry can handle 8th and 9th

That’s why I said hope. We don’t really have any good options

Glad they took Neal out so milazzo could come in & get a passed ball & K Neal could have done that
With all our arguments over the years I never would have thought we would be the last two people on the Neal bandwagon, but here we are.

I like Neal. He finally learned to protect his throwing hand

0-3 K and vandy stole third base on him TWICE. Had a passed ball. Missed a foul pop up.

Please tell me how valuable he was tonight????

he's had at least 3 pitches go between his legs and let runners advance to 2nd or 3rd in this series. Every one of those runners scored.

His defense is better. Only thing Neal does better is hit Sun Belt or Southland pitching.

Milazzo hasn’t been great this year either. At least with Neal you have the threat of something other than a soft liner for a single

Travinski is our best defensive and hitting catcher

Agreed. Trav should be our full time catcher and we can rotate PH.
