I wish they would. But during his time as AG, he proved that he's petty AF and could possibly threaten to retaliate against LSU (threaten to withhold funding, etc).
Also, he's not "petty." He is authoritarian. He has no concept of conservative values or politics.

In a state that had a Democrat governor for the past eight years, he won the election without even needing to go to a run-off. It's going to take WAY more than that to even get a recall on the ballot, much less actually happen.
