Team did what they and many always do.

Come out in warm ups and practice.. at 12 minutes they go into locker room.. some coach talk and a team prayer done.. come out ( if at lsu to fireworks and very loud cheers)…. I think it is a nice routine .. the prayer sounds nice to me..
Fwiw the wbb team Chaplin .. I believe is tates wife.. they all promote a pretty positive vibe..

And oh yeah.. goodness the gov is an idiot ..

I’m sure both Tate & Woodward are pissed but their hands are tied here. Landry is already trying to be a full on dictator in this state through the various legislation he’s trying to pass.

The best thing they can do is lay low and let Landry continue making a buffoon of himself.

I hope they release a statement telling Landry to frick off. Prove who has the actual power in this state.

Jeff Landry wanted Bob Mann punished for calling someone who worked under him a “flunky”. You seriously think they have the power here?

freedoms this country provides

One of those freedoms is the ability to not have to stand up for the anthem. You’re sounding like Stalin with wanting to force people to respect the anthem.

I would like people to honor those that died for their freedom and be a little more grateful. Why such a tissy to do so? Boohoo. Instead, the subject of honoring the fallen is twisted into "don't violate my rights". You can do what you want, I can tell you I don't like it. Stalin... smh great example brainiac.

What I do know is that respect for our Country is in the gutter.

You can thank Donald Trump for that. I don’t remember presidents or candidates disrespecting America at all before Trump. He’s the master of hating his own country and most of y’all love him for it.

Wouldn't surprise me if Tate's updating his resume right now. Which is a shame because he's been really good for LSU.

Fantastic. You can have that opinion. The problem here is the Governor of the State is pushing to punish those who don't follow his opinion on the subject.

Can’t wait until the day I’m both Governor and AD of LsU

Seriously Landry is not doing the state any favors here.

Woodward needs to reach out to Landry if he hasn’t already.

This is all dumb. I have no idea why Landry is doubling down here. Mulkey explained the situation.

Very disappointed in lack of response from LSU. Why isn't Landry calling Army out for not being on the field during the national anthem at Tiger Stadium this past fall?

I understand many are in fear of Landry after the mess he created in LDWF by putting in charge someone with no experience only because Trump told him so she can get experience on her resume so he can hire her for a cabinet position.

What do you want them to do? Go back and forth with the governor in a public forum?

Tate has already released something on twitter which is enough.

This is dumb as frick. Faux outrage by the governor

I agree. So let’s start with YOU.

Going forward, YOU must post a picture of YOURSELF standing at attention and saluting your television every time the national anthem is played. If you don’t post evidence of it, you forfeit a week’s pay.

Fair deal?

Insane how our "woke" university president has been more pragmatic than our "based and patriotic" governor. Landry has done more harm to LSU in a few days than Tate has done in his entire tenure.

I agree. There's really no point in LSU giving this any more legs. I don't even think they need to respond to his letter to the BOS. Put it file 13 and move on as usual with no changes. When football season starts, I suspect advisors will have told Landry to leave it alone and perhaps he will listen. Maybe.
