Yeah it is. IDK why anyone would buy it, but I feel the same way about everything Dodge/Ram has made for a while now.

Modern vehicles have a lot of stuff but that stuff just isn't worth the money.

The biggest often unnoticed difference between modern and "analog" vehicles is how much active and passive safety modern vehicles add. Modern vehicles in the same class are far better at avoiding accidents and survivability once you are in one. The choice can literally be a life or death decision. Nostalgia is great and I enjoy it but when it comes to vehicles it is a feels vs facts issue. Nothing wrong with that, we all do it with certain things.

Yea, but I won’t be able to show lil SI how to install 4 15’s and tweeters like his old man did in high school without reprogramming the cpu. > was my first thought when I realized I can’t get him a alpine double din receiver…. ( he’s 6yrs old)

Imagine how many amps you could run off the battery in one of these things though.

Can be said of any Tesla.

The Model Y is like $40k. How is the interior inferior to any other car in that price range? It’s the number 1 selling car in the world. The tech is light years ahead of any car in that price range.

Fit and finish are lacking to a degree which is not helped by the spartan aesthetic. Tech is a different story.

Build quality is meh. Honestly 99% of people never notice any issues. I’m pickier than most and none of it bothers me. But there are issues.

Tech is another story. No one makes or manages batteries better than Tesla. It’s the only one with proven storage performance. The FSD is nice but they’re getting passed there because they made some poor hardware choices.

Thought this was gonna be a new Tundra thread.

The new Tundra looks badass. I just wish it still had the 5.7 NA.

Saw a Rivian driving through New Orleans last week. It’s by far the ugliest I’ve seen in person.

I’ll go ahead and disagree. Who is even close to what Tesla has?

V 12.3 was the biggest upgrade in FSD ever. The cost of FSD is going to skyrocket

Mercedes. But it has a ton of restrictions and needs hi resolution mapping.

Teslas issue is they’re trying to be too cute with just the cameras. There are inherent weaknesses in only using the visual spectrum and not LiDAR or hi resolution gps over hi resolution mapping.

Other car companies are taking a mutli-input approach and that’s going to yield better products.
