That will crumble dramatically in the WNBA.

She’ll be fine and we’ll be fine.

I’ve never watched a WNBA game in my life and unless one of the players has drama or some unfortunate circumstance, can say that I don’t hear anything about any of them.

That said, I’m an LSU WBB Season ticket holder and watch nearly every game.

And that’s every fan they have, wnba had about 900,000 fans period, max salary is 250,000 a year that’s seasoned all star veteran pay.

Her money, her decision. Hopefully Shaq's advisors can keep her on the right track.

Sure her NIL deals will carry over for some years, but who's to say she wouldn't double it with another huge season and more publicity at LSU.

A couple million can easily disappear. We see it all the time with NBA players and their contracts are huge.

Best of luck to Angel Reese.

Yes but signed contracts are because of views! When 12 million people watch her game that’s great for endorsements. When nobody is watching, endorsements will dry up.

It will all depend if the wnba does better with her and Caitlyn in it.

Bird was great but Magic was better.
_____________

Shut your mouth when you are talking to me.

This time around Caitlin is way better and I love Angel.

Well said. And spot on. She will not grow social media follower numbers from anything she does on the court in the WNBA. The nil$ doesn't just stop overnight, but she is probably at her apex.

Except all of the TD experts saying she should stay because she would make less money in the WNBA

A first round pick in the WNBA makes about $70k a year.

Overseas is better according to this article: LINK

$250,000 in Spain; $125,000 in Italy; $100,000 in Germany; $60,000 in France; $125,000 in Greece; $150,000 in Russia; $75,000 in Israel, and $175,000 in Turkey.

China is even better at $300k

I think you are only partially correct. The years to come piece is likely short lived. Very unlikely that she has any specific financial commitment for years to come in her contracts with companies. What company would commit to paying a female basketball player x amount 10 years out? We have yet to see a female Michael Jordan type. Her contracts likely reevaluate her compensation yearly or some period shorter than "years to come".

Why?

Do you think she will lose millions of followers on social media?

Is Livvy Dunne going to suddenly not be marketable without LSU gymnastics?

I like Reese but her college gamee does not translate to a pro-level. She even said it she is set to succeed after basketball. It maybe earlier than expected. Good luck to her though.

No gives a damn about her earning money

I watch LSU sports for the entertainment, not to root for people to get rich.
I wanted Joe Burrow to win the title, way more than I cared about his being the first pick.

But let's take a moment to understand things- you go to college to prepare for the real world and get a career... to make money. Unless your family has Jonny Manziel money, these athletes need to be working towards something that will earn them some cash.

Angel Reese, like her antics or not, led LSU to a title in 2023, and a run to the Elite 8 this year. She now has the opportunity to move on.

Nobody was mad at Dylan Crews for leaving LSU baseball as a junior, because his name was as hot as it would ever get and it was time for him to move on.

It really does not matter if she plays or not in this social media influencer age.

It sure will when she is no longer visable... Those numbers will drop...

Angel is becoming bigger than the game and she wants to bring that to the pro level. She can change the game.

ETA: in regards to popularity
