Ran rates for a buddy’s new purchase in lake Charles two months ago for a $300,000 house (70605). None of the three companies would entertain it, Safeco being one. $56,000 single wide in sweet lake (Cameron parish) is $3,200/yr. $200,000 ranches in Cameron parish are $12,000/yr. Greywood is also having sticker shock if you can believe that.

I shopped mine with Amica and thru Arthur Gallager. Amica was double what I pay now. Gallager wouldn't quote it.

The flooding problems probably will be an issue since all these neighborhood are built popping up everywhere in BR.
