I think this is a good criticism of TOTK. If TOTK was the only game, it would be incredible how there are 3 levels to explore. However, it was tough to get excited to transverse the ground level because you already did it in BOTW. The sky tier was too small, and the underground tier was too vast and monotonous.
If they want to keep the open world concept for the next game, I think they have to go to a different locale like Link's Awakening.

I'd love to see an ocean setting game in the BOTW/TOTK style (maybe a little different, with more traditional zelda stuff). Think vast archipelagos, tropical islands, underwater areas with lots of swimming and boating. Could be really cool
