Might be unpopular but I enjoyed this one more than BOTW. I think it’s because the big baddie is Ganondorf and it just felt more like a Zelda game.

Ocarina has been my favorite Zelda game since I was a kid but I think TOTK just took the top spot.

**Spoilers**

Zelda transforming into the dragon fricked me up a little. shite was so sad and helpless. Getting her back at the end though was such a relief and seemed like we finally had a true happy ending to a Zelda game and not just bittersweet.

I would love to see this Link and Zelda again but I don’t know how you proceed after that ending. It’s a perfect send off

I thought it was kinda boring and tedious. Felt like all I did was cook stuff so I wouldn’t freeze and try to put sticks together when my weapons broke

I don't necessarily think that's an unpopular opinion Tears of the Kingdom is a bigger/better version of BotW.

I liked BotW's intro better though.

Some things annoyed me with Tears of the Kingdom such as the requirements to upgrade armor. I should not have to stand on the back of a Dragon for over an hour to upgrade a chestpiece.

Being able to create your own weapons is really cool, but it's still lame how they break after 5-6 hits.

I honestly would have preferred it if Zelda got stuck in a dragon state permanently.

Seems like it should be irreversible and it would have meant more to the story if she sacrificed herself to be a vessel for the sword and hyrules salvation.

The game itself was fine. It is so similar to botw that they almost bleed together in my mind.

I really enjoyed these 2 Zeldas but I hope the next iteration drops the stamina and weapon breaking mechanics. Also I hope we one day get a Wind Waker and Twilight Princess remastered port

Really wish they would just ditch the shrines…remove weapon durability….add 10+ large dungeons built into the beautiful world they created.

Basically take the OoT model and scale it to BoTW size.

That was my favorite part for sure. And the fact they didn't necessarily hide the story, er memories, this time. They explicitly showed you where they were.

It was definitely my favorite iteration of Gannondorf (maybe tied with Windwakers) and I was legit in shock they actually showed him assassinate the queen.

Really enjoying it. I only started recently. Having three maps (Sky, regular and depths) was brilliant for making it even bigger. Not sure where Zelda goes after this but I definitely prefer open world, non linear Zelda over historical structure. For fricks sake why won’t they make it realistic looking? The cel shading isn’t bad but a realistic Zelda with graphics like the Witcher would be really sweet. Also want the durability and stamina crap gone.

Just discovered that you can build Link a house. It’s not super customizable or anything but it is a nice touch they added to the game. Zelda took over his house in Hateno Village it looks like

I wish that there was more variety to the Depths. The Lightroot mechanic was interesting, and flipping between the surface and depths maps to discover where undiscovered ones of each was cool enough, but the Depths felt very sparse in most cases. The most remarkable areas were the ones surrounding each of the Old Map treasures.

The Sky Islands felt like DLC expansion content.

Great game. The grind to upgrade armor was a more tedious and time consuming than it should have been, but thats my only real complaint.

Currently playing FF7 Rebirth. It’d be great if Nintendo took notes at how great a remake of a classic from the late 90’s can be on modern consoles. Give us an Ocarina of Time remake for the next Zelda game
