Baseball should at least be in a regional 5/5 years and host at least 4/5. Supers 3/5, Omaha 1/5 and a title probably 1/8 or so.

However JJ won a title already so if we miss this year I’m not terribly worried we are going to keep on the path of missing.

I still think we turn this around starting this weekend at home.

Omaha 1/5? Hell no bro. We should be atleast in Omaha 50% of the time.

So many are still living in the 90s.

This year is a great example. We had a juggernaut last year. Tons of juniors and seniors. Studs everywhere. Won the championship.

Of course, we lost 2/3rds of the lineup, your 2 legit SEC starting pitchers, and your best reliever. And, of course, we had 2 generational guys on the roster.

It's just not a given that you'll be able to build a team from scratch in a year.

It’s a rebuild this season. How we fare next without a couple of hosses from this season is questionable. Hope our recruits pan out.

I would say Omaha 2/5 and you’re on point

Doubt we will be hosting a regional this year…unless the hitting turns around

I think it's certainly out of reach from a practical standpoint.

Frankly, this team is going to have to improve between now and the end of the year to even be a regional team. I think we will, but it's not a given at all. We are going to have to play better than .500 ball in the SEC moving forward.

I think the pitching is a bigger problem than the hitting.

We took the lead in all three games over the weekend and our pitching gave it up an inning or two later every time.

Holman and Jump need to show that they can keep their pitch counts down and go beyond 5 innings in SEC play, because we don't have the talent in the bullpen to cover 4 innings for consecutive days.

Why do people keep blaming our struggles on hitting? Coming into last weekend Arkansas was worse than us at the plate. Our hitting did about what we expected it to against arguably the best pitching staff in the country. Our bullpen is a liability at this point and our starters are having trouble going more than 5 innings. The pitching staff was supposed to be our strength until the offense got rolling.

All of this!

LSU had the lead in several of these SEC ballgames. Pitching can't close anyone out.

And to OP - yes LSU should be hosting a regional every year. Basically means always being a top 16 team, which a school like LSU should be able to do.

Barring injuries

So LSU gets a pass this year since Chase Shores and Jaden Noot are hurt.

Expectation to host every year is a pipe dream, but I think 75-80% of the time like others have said is reasonable enough.
