Can’t just pull up the carpet.
Was thinking interlocking foam gym floor tiles but not sure how those would work on top of carpet.
Any ideas?
TIA, also I’m sure I’ll get flamed by the OT but send it.

Hell, I want to see the art.
ETA: In the past I built some panels for a lady for basically the same purpose. We just used the luxury vinyl on a 1/4" plywood backer and trimmed them out. It was basically a floating false floor.

Just roll some linoleum over it if you are just protecting the carpet.

Canvas drop cloth. It really pulls the room together.

I have pulled carpet up and when I had to move out just reinstall it its not hard just rent a carpet stretcher if there is a seam just cut it and buy seam tape.

Build a very thing plywood platform. Cover it in linoleum or tile, and some kind of spill protection along the edge. You could even just Banksy the plywood if you don't mind a rougher look.

What about a dropcloth?

Laminate flooring underlayment then gym mats on top. That should contain all semen spills.
