Thank you for the replies.
What makes a club more forgiving? What should I look for or at?
When I google it, there seems to be answers all over the place.

What
Perimeter weighting and the club materials.
Cavity back irons were always the rule for forgiveness, but now the hollow body irons are just as forgiving.

There are a lot of technicalities when it comes to clubs, and forgiveness. Myself I call all of it snake oil, but I am sure there are lots of experienced guys on here that will disagree. The most important part of a golf club is the shaft, and how well it matches your swing. Everything else depends what is going on between your ears. There is an old saying in golf, and I believe it: "Golf is 10% ability, and 90% mental." Find a local pro, hopefully close to your house, and work with him first, unless you decide to go the self teaching route. With YouTube it is doable, but will require more work and practice.
