To get an idea of the competition, these are the NET conference rankings (out of 33) on these guards.

First and foremost LSU needs a starting PG. Hannibal is gone. It's doubtful Cook returns (though, I guess, not official), and I'm not sure Williams is a true PG. Givens can probably give you minutes at PG. But I think it's pretty clear McMahon wants an experienced playmaker at that spot. Hill couldn't score in year 1...which limited his production. Cook only played in 13 games. He could score...but he didn't facilitate the offense from a team perspective. Unless McMahon plans on changing his offensive approach, he MUST get a good transfer PG. If not, next year's team may have a pretty set ceiling. And it's probably lower than what the team did this year.

He also needs at least one 6'9 - 7'0 big. As it stands now you only have Reed and Fountain returning. Miller is coming in, but he's more like Jalen Reed than past bigs such as Phillips, Bigby-Williams, even Baker. He's 6'10 with length and skill. But he'd rather play outside than in, and consistent effort seems to be a big question mark.
