Thanks for keeping us unsubscribed members updated sham.
I like the idea of going for another wing over a center especially an elite defender like Okani, his stats are good but he does have a negative OBPR, but with Sear's defense that could even out. We need to go with a smaller more athletic line up in general, very few big men beat us last season, it was mostly guards and every team has guards few have truly exceptional big men. With Baker and Dean leaving we are having to replace 15.2 points 1 block and 7.9 rebounds a game. However if we slide Fountain and Reed up to the "5" we will be returning 13.2 points 1.4 blocks and 8.3 rebounds. Not a big gap at all.
That being said really don't see a center transfer as a have to have at this point, unless there is a can't miss talent who we can get to campus (then I have no doubt we will make room for him through either Fountain or Collins)
Ultimately this team can only go as far as Reed and Ward take us. They have to take another step this year. Ward has the potential to be the best 3 and D wing in the league he just has to have the motor on defense and needs to get more attempts up from behind the arc. Reed could excel as a back to the basket big with his passing ability, wiggle, and hook shot.
