Watching the live feed of the bridge before the collapse, it seems to have hit when the bridge only had construction workers on it. It was the slowest point in the moments leading up to the collapse, which is a silver lining.

This stuff fascinates me. If a few of those people who crossed right before the collapse would have taken a minute longer to leave the house this morning they’d be in the river right now.

Just did the same, and it was so stressful watching the cars going across the bridge as the mammoth tanker slowly approaches, but you’re right, it didn’t look like there were any vehicles crossing at the moment it hit and collapsed.

Looks like the networks are starting to cover the story.

YT link for live feed.

One of those times where being late could be a lifesaver.

Which is why I learned/accepted long ago that when it’s your time, it’s your time. No use stressing.

I think about stuff this way all the time too. If someone couldn’t find their keys, or stopped to pour an extra cup of coffee, they may have still been on that bridge.

Nah, because an alert was issued and officers were stopping traffic on both ends.
