Fred's is where you went to avoid the trash and have a good time.

That’s how it was when I was going through. Fights there were rare.

I’ve never agreed with the “level Tiger Land” crowd, because I had some great memories there, but I’m beginning to think it’s not such a bad idea with how the neighborhood has become. It’s obviously not what it use to be.

I’d imagine BRPD already has this guy’s information and is looking for him, hence the quietness. Hard to believe Fred’s cameras wouldn’t have caught this happen.

86-90 for me, spent a lot of time there, and had a lot of close friends that worked there. I don't remember a lot of fights there, def lower agression titer than over at Murphy's.

Anyway, I agree with others that at least from the 30,000 ft view - my skin in the game is that I have two undergrads and a law student there, so sometimes on game weekends I run the shuttle in place of uber, I don't necessarilly love what I see out there these days.

Terrible, horrible story. Sad, gut-wrenching.

Is this for a different fight, or is the date just wrong and is a pic of suspect in this death? It’s surprising no pics or videos have come out for this (at least that I know of).

Certainly hope your imagined theory is not based on BRPD’s handling of the Allie Rice investigation?
Should we all expect BRPD to indict a suspect soon?

How are those two similar? Crowded bar with cameras and witnesses everywhere and shooting on an empty street in the middle of the night

I hate when people on here make me have to "defend" BRPD, NOPD, DA offices, etc.

If both are equal fighters, it absolutely does. You're delusional if you think otherwise. Weight classes exist for a reason.

Damn… I visited years ago, and it wasn’t this dangerous in Tigerland. That’s a real shame the injuries were so severe.

So is there typically no security or police presence nearby to handle this?
Or did they just not do anything about it.

You’d think Fred’s would want to avoid having brain dead head stomping victims.

Hearing conflicting reports about Repath the guy that died from the result of a fight at Fred's last weekend. It was originally reported that he got jumped by 4 guys when he left Fred's. I've heard that was totally not the case. He was the instigator inside and outside of the bar. It was self defense by the other guy, not a brutal brawl. Basically the guy that died threw a punch, first, the other guy blocked it and landed his punch. He hit the ground and hit his head. It sucks it ended that way but sometimes something as simple as taking an arse kicking in a fair fight goes the wrong way.
