If you give the university 1 penny or they pay you to take classes then you are a student IMO

I'm never one to judge who is a student or a fan of a college. Live and let live!

I am a proud student of the University of Phoenix.

You laugh but the COO of a hospital I worked for had his Phoenix stuff plastered on his office walls. Masters in Nursing.

Guess he treated virtual patients in virtual facilities, virtually? This was 2014-ish period so long before vr was available except games maybe.

Read your own question back to yourself a few times. I think you answered it.

Purely a product of posting after 12 hours of day drinking for March Madness.

I have two degrees from La Tech and took all of four classes on campus. They cashed all the checks though and keep asking me for endowment money.

They pay tuition. That means they're a student.

Make you a student...yes, connected no.

I say I went to LSU and ULM because I did. I say I took online classes at UMass.... couldn't tell ya what the campus looks like, or what the school or teams are up to in anyway

Seems your problem is with the method of delivery then.

A student is a student.

Unless your talking about Univ of Houston Downtown. No decent unversity take hours to walk across campus.

I believe the guy was refer to the time over the years you are there. Assume 4 classes and a 5 minute walk average that's 10 minutes per day (assuming 2 MWF and 2 TT) so you will have walked 2.5 hour every 3 weeks. And that is more likely a low rather than high estimate.

It is a great campus to walk around.

In the technical sense, an on-line student is a student, and the degree is the same. In no measurable way would the on-line student have the same life experience with a university as one who attended in person.

Sub high school for college. Think back on your high school memories. Do you think a person who attended your high school for 4 years on-line (and never stepped foot on campus) actually went to your high school? Technically a student, I suppose, but that person would have zero clue as to the school culture.

Every college is unique and it's a shared experience that only people who attend in person can even possibly understand.

I’m an LSU fan. I am an online student of the university of Arizona. I don’t cheer for them but I don’t root against them. I am considered a student there
