An underrated feud in all of this is Gregg vs Jesse.
There's video of Jesse not celebrating at all when the own goal was scored. And then in the post match presser, Gregg fired shots at Jesse, who on his podcast said the only reason Gregg called in Gio this camp was because of their past drama.
It's like two children with downs fighting.
Jesse is coming across as a sleeze in all this though. He said earlier this week that he wouldn't call Gio in this camp, then yesterday questions why Gregg didn't start Gio and says he better start him in the final.

So Jesse is a sleeze GGG was already a sleeze. They used Jesse to say they actually had a coaching search when they did not. The fix was is when we started hearing a previous one cycle Lalas the mouthpiece of the US Soccer saying GGG really should have another chance and then it happened.
