Afterlife had nothing but member berries going for it imo As much as the 2016 film sucked I think it was the right approach. Find a group of comedic actors and writers that have good chemistry and move on from the legacy story and actors of the 1984 film.
please tell me you keep this same attitude for top gun...

Audience score is all that matters for a movie like this

Ole Phil in his feelings this morning over his "partner" SEK. Sorry son, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings.

quote:This. Afterlife was full of corny dad jokes written by people who just aren't funny. If you're a consumer simply looking to ingest your unit of entertainment, I guess it's fine (a word I keep seeing) but to me, it's watered down, bland bullshite. Afterlife is a better overall movie than chickbusters, but the latter gave be more genuine laughs. Sure, it was maybe two total laughs, but it was still better than the 10 or so halfhearted chuckles I got from Afterlife. Endless callbacks being in this one aren't going to rope me in.

LOL at critics, no woke shite for them
It wasn't a great movie, but it was fun, loved annie potts and gang getting back together.
The wife and I had a good time, if they make another, will go see. Paul Rudd is grossly underrated as an actor.

Did you stick around for the post credit scene?
Posted on 3/23/24 at 6:25 pm to Icceytiger
I thought it was great. There were lots of connections to the original movies which I loved. I had read that there was more to the Slimer backstory and that didn’t deliver. Akroyd, Murray, Hudson all were great. Bringing back the EPA guy from the 1984 movie as mayor was fantastic. The music was great. Lots of the original score. I think this was a great way to end it.

I did not. What was it?

"Haters"
She sounds more like Henry Cavill, Jenna Ortega or Sydney Sweeny. Have fun with it and appreciate the position she's in.
She doesn't sound bitter. Hollywood needs more her and less Rachel Zegler.
* WTH did I say that warranted any DVs? I was complimenting her, and the way she dealt with the criticism and the question by the interviewer. Good grief, we've got some sad snowflakes on this board.

McKenna Grace: " frick you haters. "
McKenna is from a great family. She's always handled PR with a lot of class and ease. She basically never says anything negative about fans or projects.
Her parents have guided her very well in her career and her mom has been extremely protective of her from Hollywood's bullshite.
