If so, who's your favorite team and who do you think will win it all this year?

For me, the answer is the same for both: Sporting KC.

Do not follow, but shouldn't Messi be enough to win it for Miami?

Nah. Don’t like how they try to copy European naming convention similar to Sporting KC, Real Salt Lake, or LAFC. Can’t respect it. America First!

Why did they chose lame copied names from Europe like "Real", "Sporting", "City" and "United"?

Not really, but I’m going to the Revolution match next month against Inter Miami for the sole purpose of seeing Messi in person.

Would follow it a lot more closely if they didn’t switch over to requiring a subscription beyond Apple TV to watch their games.

Minnesota United matches are fun to watch in person.

We don't even care about it over on the soccer board.

The only redeeming quality the league has is their youth academies are starting to churn out some real talent that the big clubs in Europe are signing.

Philadelphia just had a 14 year old sign with Manchester City, and scouts are saying he's the best youth player in the world.

Nope. I’d much rather wake up at 6am on the weekends to watch quality football, than watch an MLS match in my own comfort.

I likely watch more soccer than 99% of people on this board. Almost none of it is MLS. The league sucks and will until we incorporate a promotion/relegation model in this country. Smaller cities will invest in their team if they have a chance to reach the top league. That would get the citizens to care and kids going to the games to want to play. Having said that, I expect Messi, Suarez, Busquets, Alba, and co to win this year.

I do, went to my first game last week (it was fricking awesome) in Miami but it was CONCACAF Champions Cup.

Inter Miami CF will win it all this year

I go to some Atlanta United games and will watch some on Apple. I don’t watch any other MLS teams/matches.

Atl Utd games are a blast and affordable. Frankly a better experience and value than Falcons and Hawks. I probably go to a dozen Braves games, half a dozen Atl Utd games, and maybe only 1-2 Hawks games and 1 Falcons game a year. It’s not that I like soccer more than basketball and football, but it’s just a better value and entertainment experience right now. It’s pretty popular in Atlanta youth sports too.

I don’t pretend to understand the ins and out of the complicated salary cap/designated player structure of MLS (there are a ton of rules) but it just seems like Inter Miami has gamed the system bringing in Messi, Suarez, Busquets, Alba etc in a “salary capped” league. I mean good for them but they are going to dominate a salary capped league.

I am a Nashville Soccer Club season ticket holder. The games are a blast and our stadium is brand new.

I loosely keep up with sporting kc since i live in wichita. I just cant bring myself to watch it much when the premier league games are so easily accessible.

as far as the naming thing everyone else is commenting on, i wish there were more names like chicago fire, new england revolution, etc. I think the non plural local names wouldve been a good regional thing for the league to adopt

Love the goals of the league, but man hate the way they do it.

All teams paying for Messi? Just build talent on your own.
