Tool - Intolerance

Really set the stage for their first full length album. Nothing said early 90's like Undertow.

I'll throw in a few others from a great prog band.

Dream Theater - Pull Me Under - Images and Words
Dream Theater - As I Am - Train of Thought

As I Am is their best straight up metal song.

Layla- Derek and the dominoes

Pretty easy considering they don’t have another studio album lol.

I remember the first time an older kid threw this album on the stereo and cranked it up. I’d not even heard of VH yet. By the time it got to Eruption, I was going out of my mind, like those fake arse YouTube videos where people hear songs for the first time. Life changing experience.

Not so easy, because it is the next to last song on a double album. First song on side one is I Looked Away.

“Welcome to the Working Week” - Elvis Costello

also best first opening line:

Now that your picture’s in the paper being rhythmically admired
And you have everything that you’ve ever desired
All you gotta tell me now is why, why, why, why?
