He’s a long reliever. Jay wants to give him every chance to be an ace, but he’s just not.

Don't disagree...think he can be an elite reliver. He ain't an SEC starter.

You can be a good pitcher and not be a starter

Hurd is an ok pitcher. Has all the tools in the world but he hasn’t mastered the art of pitching.

Walks tend to kill him. He tries to be too fine sometimes and misses to get behind in the count.

We've known this since April of last year.

3 fluke weeks in June won't change that.

Hurd needs to be midweek starter or long relief until he gets his head right. Anytime other team puts pressure on him with few hits he falls apart. Talented as hell.
