Jayden Daniels is Justin Fields.

Probably the dumbest thing that’s been posted on this site. Well done.

I’m curious why you say this? What makes this the dumbest thing posted on this site? I mean I’ve seen some incredibly dumb shite here. What makes this the absolute dumbest?

Because we already have Taysom Hill and we don't need another one.

I watched a few games of Justin Fields. When he is on he is very good. When he is off, not so much. Can be blamed on the Bears. Hope to see him do good at the Steelers as he seems he has a good head on his shoulders.

Bad take, Wilson is cooked

That may be true but he's still on par with what Carr's doing.

At least there's a chance that his lack of success is due to being in denver. Pitt is taking a chance on both Wilson/Fields (HOFer/#1 ovr. pick) with little to no risk. If the saints were in their exact position this board would be flooded with positively spun takes. The way yall are able to hype up Carr, I cant imagine the level of positivity on here if we were in the Steelers position.

Have you seen him play?
The kid isn't a bad player, he makes plays when he's out there and I thought he was fixin to turn the corner for Chicago. Chicago's Oline was not that good, thus, he always had to run to avoid the pass rush, but he's a mobile QB and that's what mobile QB's do - run. Like the Ravens Lamar Jackson and a lot of mobile QB's Fields' issue was passing, consistency in passing. He was not accurate in passing like Jackson, Jackson has struggled with this at Baltimore that's why they can't get to the superbowl, and they won't until he overcomes that. But Fields can make plays and has gotten much better at it, if he gets better at passing, he'll be a dangerous QB.

Yep he has alot of potential. He may never work out but the Steelers are smart for this move

If I remember correctly fields has one of the worst sack rates ever.

He holds the ball to long and takes way to many sacks. If he could fix that he would be a top 15 qb. Just don't think that is something you fix.

Just like cam newton. He is what he is. I do think Arthur Smith is one of the best ocs for his skill set.

Run the ball and play action. Fields was great on play action plays last year.

These responses defending fields is dumb.

Holds on to the ball way too long, can’t read a defense, can’t hit the broad side of a barn. The bears got nothing in return for him this year for a reason.

Comparing him to Jackson is just bad. Field’s passing and processing doesnt even come close to Jackson’s.

He can run good? Play WR or RB cuz that passing game accuracy and pocket presence can’t be developed, it doesn’t exist in him.

He’s garbage but we all know the reason the media is pushing this “it’s the bears fault” narrative.

He could fill the Taysom Hill role pretty effectively, will be interesting to see if Pit tries to make him KS10 version 2.0

Definitely a low risk, high reward gamble. If he doesn't work out, they pissed away a 6th rounder. If he does work out, they have an electric QB for a 4th rounder and should be able to extend him in that low to mid 30s range.

Crazy that mid 30Ms is a cap friendly deal for a QB in today's game. Especially considering the lack of elite to top tier QB play the league is experiencing.

WtF? So Wilson had one of the top offensive minds in the game with pretty good weapons around him and fell flat on his face. They paid an exorbitant amount, actually a record amount of money just to move on.

Carr likewise, by all measurable statistics( motions, play actions, etc), had maybe the worst or one of the worst OC in the game calling plays and game planning. And still outperformed Wilson by a wide margin.

And you gonna try to compare the two in Wilson’s favor. What a joke of a post.

It’s because he’s an elite athlete and people think fixing an athlete mentally is more likely and easier. When in reality many QBs who suck this bad at reading defenses and anticipating throws will not get that much better

That being said who knows. Geno Smith turned into a respectable QB and Fields does seem like a hard worker even though he needs to completely rework everything

I can’t believe I have to defend myself for saying Russel Wilson is as good as Derek fricking Carr. What is this the twilight zone? Nope it’s just the Saints board. Yea Wilson was a let down for the contract he was given. But his two down years in Denver are still in line with the average nfl quarterback and Derek Carr. Wilson is a future HOF quarterback. Carr has never won anything. Never won a postseason game ever. Yea I’d say Wilson holds more upside and the Steelers got him for nothing. Guess I’m a joke lol

I said he has an accuracy issue like Jackson when it comes to passing like a lot mobile QBs do, that's as far as the comparisons go. Jackson has gotten much better with his passing over the years, but the accuracy issue is still there when it comes to needing him to be on the money.

He said outperformed Wilson by a wide margin, but go and look up Wilson's stats for last season and then Carr's stats. Lol Carr only had about 700 more passing yards than Wilson, they're about identical on everything else. I upvoted your post, buddy because you're right, dammit.

Well let's see the last two years.
Carr has more ypg, more TDs, higher qbr and 3 more ints.
In just about every measure over the last two years they are about even.

Exactly

One of Wilson's 'bad' years he produced 4 more touchdowns than Carr, in two less games. Thats 24 more points on the board, in two less games. Points are what wins football games. The truthers love cherry picking random ambiguous stats to defend their Carr boners. "Carr's deep ball air yards completion percentage win rate against nfc teams in the month of october is top 5"

There is no comparison or a question of which qb one would have wanted up to the 22 season. Since 22 Carr has been a little better.

And the Carr truthers hate when you bring up QB rushing production because rushing yards and rushing touchdowns dont show up on the score board
