We were just one closed window away. It remained open 2 seasons king than I expected. We are now in the middle of the worst division in football.

You get a pass on 7-9 seasons when you produce in the playoffs and win a Superbowl. This team is middle of the road with no deep playoff run or Superbowl win in sight. There isn't too much to cheer for when the team is going 9-8 and winning 2 pointless games to end the season. They went from picking in the top 10 of the draft to 14. At least Brees was lighting defenses up when they were going 7-9.

Saints fans got spoiled over a handful of decent years and a HoF QB willing the offense to produce. The last two years weren't nearly as bad as some of you make it seem. Frustrating yes, but if they had a remotely competent OC they would make at the least in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. The defense has been rock solid. Now they have a young OC coming from a great offensive tree...let's see what happens this coming fall before we get the bags back out.

Some of the Haslett years were very entertaining because they had some great defenses and even though Aaron Brooks was a joke, dude had a cannon for a arm and threw lasers to an entertaining Joe Horn and the gang. I still laugh at the cell phone stunt.
