I understand this is a rant site & I understand when I come here I look for "news", not opinions, and I understand that alcohol is a great influence on many posters ...but after two years, one does get tied of listening to the same bitching by the same people who does not want to understand the big picture. It makes as much sense as bitching that Paul or Les or Nick or Ed should still be coaching or why can't Skip still be at the Box or that Shaq still has a year of eligibility left...
PLEASE GET OVER IT!
PS: Sorry for the Rant:)

While I agree it is not going to change anything, here's why your analogy is wrong. Nick left on his own. Les and Ed were fired for substandard performances....much to the fanbase's delight. Paul left on his own (or was "encouraged" to retire). Either way, the fanbase wasn't terribly upset to see him go and no one is longing for him with the new HC holding the CWS trophy in his office.

LSU fired Wade. Wade didn't choose to leave LSU. So while there was a reasonable basis as to why LSU chose to make that decision, he's probably the only HC in the last several decades of LSU sports where the administration removed a coach against the wishes of the (majority) of the fanbase

That in and of itself was frustrating. But at the time it happened there was no certainty as to what penalties LSU and Wade would receive. Ultimately each received relatively minor penalties...which allowed Wade to quickly return to coaching at a school within the state of Louisiana. And all he has done in ONE season at that school is: Lead them to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 22 years, and only the 3rd time in school history with a 30-3 record. An increase of 19 wins from the prior season. All while LSU fans are left to celebrate "playing hard", "never quitting", and hoping to sneak into the NIT.

Given that reality I understand why LSU fans aren't so easily willing to "Get over" a decision made by the administration that has tanked a program (that had struggled for 30 years to find consistent success) unnecessarily.
