Early 80s in Dallas during the heyday of the Von Erics and Freebird rivalry was awesome. Spent many evenings at the Sportarorium.

There would be events come to local high school football fields. A ring would be set up close to one sideline and crowds would fill the bleachers.

We were having little league practice at the college baseball field in Monticello AR and Mid South was in town for a show later that night. Jake the snake walks up and starts talking to our coach and asks if he can help with warm-ups. My friend precedes to take a grounder right in the face off the bat of Jake. His claim to fame is Jake the snake blacked his eye when he was 11.
