It's a thin viel to create a right-wing propaganda machine. It's fine with you, because you align with many of the viewpoints. He shouldn't be forced to hire anyone--but he clearly has a preference and is constantly making decisions that go against his fair and free bs.

In the first Place, Twitter was a left-wing propaganda machine before musk bought it. This is evidence by the fact that folks who posted things that went against left-wing dogma were de-platformed. For example, that the virus was probably a lab leak. That turned out to be almost certainly true, but Twitter was suspending peoples accounts for saying it.
Today, left wingers have just as much access to Twitter as right wingers. Paid content is another matter. CNN is not balanced in its paid content. Why should Musk be?
